•      Art students from Lake Shore High School recently created a series of chair sculptures based upon the theme “Alice in Wonderland”. These artworks were made from a variety of materials including handmade felt, wire, fabric, and foam. The sculptures were auctioned off in June at a fund-raising gala to benefit Women and Children's Hospital of Buffalo.

High school art teachers, Katie Zittel,Christine Sonnenberg, and Marcia Belliotti each worked with a small team of students to create these artworks.  “The Tea Party” was made by students Aslin Rovnak and Megan Pellian, “The Cheshire Cat” by Darrian Dowdy and Lauren Gotsch, and

“The White Rabbit” by Sarah Steinbrenner, Miriam Ridge, and Marion Slater.
