• The art students of Lake Shore High School recently completed a series of paintings for the Veteran's Affairs (VA) hospital in Buffalo, New York.  Last November, students were paired with local veterans. They interviewed the veterans and documented their stories, then put the words into images with paint and mixed-media. As a result, one dozen heartfelt paintings have been created, each a tribute to the veteran who inspired them.

On Friday, November 9th students who participated in the project were honored at the Veteran's Affairs (VA) hospital during their Veteran's Day ceremony. The Veteran’s Day dedication represented the culmination of a year's worth of work on this community service project.
